Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer with expertise in utility and transmission distribution systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, including substations, transmission lines, and related equipment.
* Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analysis, and system reliability assessments to inform project planning and implementation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
* Perform inspections and evaluations of existing power systems to identify areas for improvement and implement upgrades or repairs.
* Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation for projects, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
* Engage with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with utility regulations and environmental standards.
* Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects and assist in resolving any engineering issues that arise.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to electrical power engineering and utility operations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical power engineering with a focus on utility and transmission distribution systems.
* Proficient in power system analysis software and tools (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Salary Range $150k plus 12% bonuses
