We are seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to assume responsibility for a substantial and active book of corporate business from a retiring partner.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and business-minded attorney with experience in corporate law to provide counsel to a wide range of clients, including small to mid-sized businesses and entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will take over an existing portfolio of clients and continue to grow the practice through excellent client service and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and service an existing book of corporate clients with ongoing legal needs.
• Provide legal advice on general corporate matters, entity formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, and compliance.
• Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and practice groups within the firm to support client needs.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the corporate practice through business development efforts.
Qualifications:
• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Michigan.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing corporate law, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and handle complex corporate transactions.
• Strong business acumen and commitment to client service.
• Desire to lead and grow a robust corporate practice.
• Portable business is welcome but not required, as you will inherit a significant book of business.
