Jeenie is seeking a forward-thinking and passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to help shape the future of our platform.
You’ll focus on backend system architecture, operational infrastructure, and internal systems integration, primarily using GoLang and JavaScript. Experience in mobile app development with React Native is also essential, as you'll play a key role in expanding and optimizing our user-facing mobile experiences.
As a core member of the Engineering Team, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the company to build scalable solutions that support Jeenie’s mission and growth.

ABOUT SUCCESS IN THE POSITION
Some of the main initiatives you’ll be part of:
Playing an active and strategic role in architecting and implementing core product backend services in Golang and JS
Reviewing product requirements, and turning them into technical specifications
Help lead the charge for implementing best practices around testing and documentation
Review work produced by both onshore and offshore Engineering teams
ABOUT YOU Here’s what we believe our best applicants bring with them into the role:
Solid understanding of architectural design principles in Golang, and how they may differ from other popular object oriented languages
Experience building applications using a variety of SQL and non-SQL datastores, such as Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, or comparable technologies
Understands the practical tradeoffs between a microservices and monorepo approach, and can apply both approaches where they are most effective
Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful server APIs which support a variety of frontend clients
Solid understanding of modern, containerized devops and cloud environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes in GCP
Experience with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and good intuitions on which approaches work best in multiple situations
