POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a third shift (9:30PM – 6AM) Maintenance Mechanic based in Indianapolis, IN. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of mechanical machinery, including the design and manufacturing of certain machine components. 

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $29.00/hr - $35.00/hr plus a .75 shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Inspect, test, adjust, maintain, and repair all physical plant mechanical machinery.
• Complete necessary departmental documentation to support a preventive maintenance program
• Interface with other departments to ensure timely completion of repairs and routine maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them
• Ensure machine parts necessary to perform duties are on hand by periodically checking crib inventory stock levels, where applicable

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Solid math skills - normally associated with the completion of high school math sequence 
• Proven maintenance experience
• Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Ability to respond in emergency situations involving machine operations and clearly evaluate problems under pressure
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment or devices to remove and replace defective parts
• Experience with personal computers

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• 1 + years’ experience in machine maintenance work or in related trade
