We’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, you’ll design structural components, primarily fabricated from laser-cut and bent sheet metal and tubing using Creo or a similar CAD platform. This is a hands-on design role working closely with other engineers and manufacturing.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
• Design complex steel structures using 3D CAD software (Creo preferred)
• Create detailed drawings for laser-cut and bent sheet metal and tubular assemblies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and performance
• Apply GD&T standards to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage design data using systems like Windchill or similar
• Support design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Basic FEA experience is a plus, but not required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
• Experience with structural design using steel, sheet metal, and tubing
• Familiarity with PDM systems like Windchill
• Understanding of GD&T, weld symbols, and fabrication best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
