JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Summary of position :

Serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides direct care through co-occurring services, evaluation, and triage. Completes intakes and supporting documentation the program, provides phone triage, and one on one therapeutic interventions with individuals admitted to OAC District 10 IOP Program.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works in a multi-disciplinary Team approach to meet clinical needs of consumers presenting with opioid use disorder.

  • Attends treatment team when schedule allows and participates through clinical recommendation/interventions.
  • Attends scheduled administrative team meetings without tardiness and participates.
  • Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 1-2 business days.
  • Consults with co-workers, Probation/Parole, Courts, jail staff, judge, DA, public defenders, and supervisors to ensure clients receive the most appropriate care available.
  • Meets with all clients who voice desire to participate in the program in an effort to determine if they meet qualifications for the program.
  • Will provide client transport as needed. Provide service in a community-based setting as needed.
  • Clinician will work with individuals and families providing evidence-based interventions.
  • Clinician will make treatment recommendations upon assessment and throughout the participant's episode of care. Clinician will complete weekly reports to referral sources.
  • Completes all documentation in compliance with funding/program standards.

2. Individual clinical documentation is completed within 2 business days.

  • 15% of chart sample evidences that documented presenting problems and symptoms support DSM-5 diagnosis given.
  • 15% chart sample evidences that notes are detailed in nature, contain client quotes, and contain action-oriented statements.
  • 15% chart sample evidences that clients were screened for substance abuse issues at intake and, if present, were offered A&D services.
  • 15% of chart sample evidences the use of C-SSRS at each face-to-face encounter by at least 1 member of the multi-disciplinary team.

3. Demonstrates and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.

  • Accepts additional assignments and/or changes in assignments and/or work with flexibility.
  • Meets with supervisor to address identified concerns.
  • Gives and receives appropriate feedback.
  • Communicates directly and approaches conflict with a problem-solving approach.
  • Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

COMPENSATION:

Starting salary for this position is approximately $50,367 /year based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:

  • Primary working hours are Monday through Friday 8a-5p.
  • This position is full-time.

Travel :

  • This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business.
  • Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
  • Must obtain F endorsement and maintain certified driver status.

Equipment/Technical Competency :

  • Must have basic competency in office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Will have access to desktop phone and computer for scheduling and completing data entry in the electronic medical record.
  • Position requires regular use of a computer, and appropriate phone etiquette.

Equipment/Technology:

Position must be able to complete electronic documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS - OAC District 10 Master's Clinician

Experience / Knowledge:

Experience preferred in the social work field or a behavioral health setting with extensive experience with special populations including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis Disorders preferred. Knowledge of community services for linkage and referral.

Education / License :

Must have at least a master's degree from an accredited college or university in a health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, or a behavioral science field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must be licensed or license eligible.

Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:

  • Exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be capable of assisting in utilizing non-violent methods of crisis intervention including therapeutic holding.
  • Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • The necessary skills for this position include the ability to demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener, and flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to work with diverse populations.
  • Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills. Required to be certified in, and effectively implement, verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements; including but not limited to, grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
  • Valid driver's license- F endorsement.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required. Mandatory to remain awake and alert during shift.
