Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional looking to work in a fully stocked truck shop, providing maintenance and repair services to a fleet of diesel trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance.
Perform maintenance and repairs on various makes of diesel trucks with efficiency and precision.
Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspensions, brakes, and air conditioning systems.
Conduct inspections, testing, and diagnostics to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
Provide labor and time estimates for necessary repairs.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections to ensure DOT compliance .
Stay up to date with new technologies and attend training sessions as needed.
3+ years of hands-on experience working with diesel trucks .
ASE certifications in relevant fields (preferred).
Current DOT certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver's license (CDL and DOT physical card are a plus).
Working knowledge of shop equipment , including wheel and tire tools, alignment systems, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment .
