Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our global team at Arconic, to be responsible for design, implementation and maintaining our infrastructure to ensure seamless operation across our supported sites. The individual will need to be a self-starter, but also work with a team of folks that support sites across our enterprise. This role supports the business and process networks and is key to the success for our operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide primary support for the Lafayette, Indiana location, also remote support for Massena, New York and other small locations as needed.
  • Manage network refreshes and monitor equipment leases. As part of the refresh specify, design, configure and implement network equipment. Coordination with the site is key for the success of a network upgrade.
  • Provide design, implement and document for supported sites for new projects.
  • Monitor performance through network management platforms.
  • Provide governance and conform to security requirements.
  • Proficient in Cisco route/switch/wireless and firewall platforms.

Also note:

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable in network standards, conventions, procedures and technical environment
  • Must have strong human relation skill and be able to interact with internal customers, vendors and management.
  • Maintain detailed records of network configurations, drawings, listings and procedures.
  • Travel 0-25%

  • Minimum education requirement: Bachelors
  • Minimum experience requirement: 5 years

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

  • Preferred education – CCNA certification
  • Preferred experience – Experience in manufacturing facilities
