The Credentialing Specialist will coordinate all provider credentialing activities to ensure compliance with organizational standards and timely participation within the healthcare network. This role requires maintaining accuracy and efficiency in credentialing and re-credentialing processes, managing confidential provider information, and supporting credentialing committee operations.
Compensation:$24 - $28 Per Hour
Schedule:Monday – Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm (ongoing assignment needs)
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the provider credentialing and re-credentialing process to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
Investigate and resolve credentialing and enrollment delays or issues promptly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date demographic information and credentialing databases.
Handle confidential information related to internal staff, including Physicians and Nurse Practitioners, with discretion.
Prepare and organize documentation for Credentialing Committee review.
Maintain logs, records, and documentation to meet credentialing requirements and ensure timely renewals.
Generate productivity and issue reports for management review.
Stay current with industry policies, standards, and regulations related to provider credentialing and enrollment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in provider credentialing.
Experience with credentialing in a health plan setting preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
